Did you know that Sid Phillips, the violent teenager from Toy Story, makes a cameo appearance in Toy Story 3 as an adult at the beginning and end of the film. He is the garbage man who is wearing Sid’s signature skull t-shirt and is listening to heavy metal.

So relieved this kid got a happy ending — that’s one less fictional person I need to have SAD FEELINGS ABOUT FOREVER. He joins the very small pool of characters who were, against all odds and expectations, Done Right By by the canon overlords. 

Ditto and actually glad that for once there is no “LOL HE HAS A SHITTY JOB SERVES HIM RIGHT” attached to a post about him because those annoy me deeply on a number of levels.

HE LOOKS PRETTY FUCKING HAPPY ABOUT HIS JOB. Ugh internet this is why I want to set you on fire all the time you suck so much. 

Also movies that try to make kids feel guilty for having creative and offbeat ways of playing with toys are seriously messed up I am just saying. THIS KID WAS A COOL KID. 

I get the feeling he’d love this job. Think of all the weird objects he finds and creates new stuff out of. 

Also being a garbo is a good and important job. My father worked as a social worker with a group of intellectually disabled people in a recycling factory, helping them and making sure they weren’t being overworked and such. He met lots of great garbos during that time, and also there was a recycling/second hand shop that they rescued in condition stuff too, and it was a fucking treasure trove of awesome second hand books.

tl;dr every hater of garbage collectors can suck me, shaming children for creative use of toys and being poor is entirely gross, and I want all the fic where Sid is an artist who uses broken bits of whatever to create amazing sculptures.

Yes good! He looks so goddamn happy :D
